IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD.

https://goo.gl/HhVIxd.

Epworth Children’s Village was established in 1918 by the Methodist church congregation, it is a non-profit organisation that has been in the child care business for over 99 years. It has been providing residential care for up to 90 children from the ages of 3 to 21 years that are found in need of care by the courts. Epworth's goal is to reunite children where possible back with families or sourcing community foster parents, we boast a strong support services for an additional two years to ensure that placements do not break down and where needed we continue to assist with medical appointments , therapy & any additional assistance that maybe required.

The residential program includes individual care plans, therapy both psychological & occupational therapy to the child and their families. Our outreach project mainly supports schools in historically disadvantaged communities and informal settlements. We use psycho social support programming in alleviating the problems of school drop outs, teen pregnancies, undisciplined behavior, violence, and alcohol and drug abuse in schools.

Epworth fundamentally depends on sponsors and donations from corporate companies, brands like Woolworth and individuals that are willing to help. As an NGO that mainly focuses on helping destitute communities with psycho social support programming and alleviating social problems. Epworth is a home that caters for children needs we reflect some of these needs in our wish list and we tend to focus on what the children’s greatest needs are.
If it wasn’t for the dedicated services of our staff, children and families from advantaged communities would not be cared for, Epworth children’s village makes life bearable for all our diverse children.

Epworth Children's Village would like to thank all companies, staff, donors and individuals for pledging their time and resources for contributing toward the creation of beautiful childhood memories for our children.

The power of social media in campaigns.
The content is share-able.

The power of social media campaigns is powerful, massive, fast and easy to reach, social media shares an open and honest experiences of every cause that takes place around the world.it increases response and exposure for any campaign .people are attracted to it more and use it more they are able to support any cause and shows their concerns to the raised awareness by the campaign.

People are able to respond to any cause they get to express how they feel when the matter is still relevant the media attracts attention to any cause of any sort. the content is share-able to anyone who wants to share, they are able to yield results worldwide for instance the Boko Haram campaign this was one of the most important and successful campaign the aim to reach millions and millions of people worldwide was a success many people had a say on social media about the campaign countries like the US, Britain, France and China responded to this by sending their experts to help the search.

This event helps to mobilize the entire international community to finally do something against any perpetrators who commits any crime as such, the #BRING BACK OUR GIRLS activism campaign was fully supported and received so many prayers and concerns worldwide. this campaign was active because this issue was not only made the Nigerian issue it affected everyone and it was important that all the countries support and have a say based on this matter, we were all bind to fight against such cruel act the importance of the cause was critical we all felt bad for the girls who were taken against their will many people were tired of being silent about issues of such importance, those girls need education.

This may have happened to anyone, anywhere their families were torn apart by this doing the most hurtful part was that they were taken videos naked and published on media, many people use the # to show power of the words they said on their social networks # is a powerful tool and makes news to spread faster. the bring back our girls campaign was trying to motivate the Boko Haram people to bring back the girls to their families who were left broken after this mean cause.

Michelle Obama is shown with the #sign .
high profile support.
international leaders and celebrities have taken this campaign to twitter, Facebook and Instagram to pledge their support it reached everyone using the accounts the aim was to reach as many people as they possibly can the power of internet reveals that nothing can be done and having people not saying anything about it this campaign trended for months .the U.S first lady Michelle Obama tweeted about this and said " our prayers are with the Nigerian missing girls and their families". I for one hoped and prayed that they find them and bring back the girls home to their families who were left broken after this cruel attack.

Ebola crisis.

The outbreak of an epidemic disease.
Get the facts.

EVD Ebola virus disease is the most extremely contagious disease which can pass from one person to another via bodily fluids, such as blood, sweat, and urine as well as contaminated objects. It is marked by flu symptoms as well as bleeding from the eyes, ears, mouth, nose and rectum. In the West Africa this disease has infected more than 1,200 people and killed more than 600 people since early this year, this crisis has made life unpredictable because even doctors cannot tell on any patient’s condition.

The most painful and unbearable part is that the victims of Ebola live in isolation wards only the doctors working on the isolated triage are able to see them, doctors who go in have to put on protective gears to be allowed in not to visit them like families do when one of the members of their family is in hospital but to check up on them and give them medication which is meant to keep them alive.

I read a few comments on Ebola pictures website  where people have lost hope in the well being of the infected or the discovery of a vaccine to maintain this situation one of the comment I read said "only God can help the Liberian from this disease" others pray to God to save them from this painful experience of seeing how their family members are suffering from this outbreak. In Sierra Leona it has killed one of the top Ebola doctor whom it has been believed that he was one of the most active in fighting the cause.

One of the moments when i see how other people get to go through such ,I get emotional no one deserves to live like this it is sad to see how other people are suffering from this virus. it is not fare to see how bad other people get to live like in the daily basis of their lives, I wish to say I was able to help but God is the only one who can, and the doctors are doing everything they can to control this infection .Maybe someday someone somewhere will wake up and say I have found a cure but its just a wish and i know that health specialist are doing all they can.

Not much conclusion has been reached but the protection from the infectious
Disease (ISOPOD) are providing safe isolation and transportation of the contaminated. It also suggested a full recovery evacuation, treatment, processing and where necessary final disposition of victims. The disease presents a treat to many developing countries, global communities are on the front lines to also land a hand in the fight against Ebola.
