Epworth Children’s Village was established in 1918 by the Methodist church congregation, it is a non-profit organisation that has been in the child care business for over 99 years. It has been providing residential care for up to 90 children from the ages of 3 to 21 years that are found in need of care by the courts. Epworth's goal is to reunite children where possible back with families or sourcing community foster parents, we boast a strong support services for an additional two years to ensure that placements do not break down and where needed we continue to assist with medical appointments , therapy & any additional assistance that maybe required.

The residential program includes individual care plans, therapy both psychological & occupational therapy to the child and their families. Our outreach project mainly supports schools in historically disadvantaged communities and informal settlements. We use psycho social support programming in alleviating the problems of school drop outs, teen pregnancies, undisciplined behavior, violence, and alcohol and drug abuse in schools.

Epworth fundamentally depends on sponsors and donations from corporate companies, brands like Woolworth and individuals that are willing to help. As an NGO that mainly focuses on helping destitute communities with psycho social support programming and alleviating social problems. Epworth is a home that caters for children needs we reflect some of these needs in our wish list and we tend to focus on what the children’s greatest needs are.
If it wasn’t for the dedicated services of our staff, children and families from advantaged communities would not be cared for, Epworth children’s village makes life bearable for all our diverse children.

Epworth Children's Village would like to thank all companies, staff, donors and individuals for pledging their time and resources for contributing toward the creation of beautiful childhood memories for our children.
